Some updates

Three years ago, I started The Grievery with a simple question: how do we honor each other's humanity in the face of loss?

What we knew then and know more deeply now, is that grief is vast. It lives not only in the aftermath of death, but also in the dissolution of relationships, in the loss of what we imagined our lives to be, in the weight of a world in constant upheaval.

What has come into focus, through three years of gathering, witnessing, and being witnessed, is just how much lives in the in-between. The space after something has ended, while we linger in the uncertainty and mystery of what's to come. That disorienting, often sacred ground that most of us were never really taught how to navigate or inhabit — liminal space. And it's where The Grievery has always been doing its work.

This came into even more focus after I ran a birth chart for our business. We do this for ourselves, so why not look at the founding impulse beyond our stated intention. What it revealed felt profoundly aligned: the energy present at our beginning is precisely the energy the world needs right now. The Grievery was built to live and work in the space of meaning-making, teaching, and guidance through liminal experience: themes of death, grief, and transformation. To expand perspectives, bridge divides, and provide structure for journeys that don't otherwise have a map. We, like you, were made for this moment.

That is part of what inspired this refresh. It feels like it’s time to step toward that with more warmth and clarity.

What has changed, most visibly, is our website. We've rebuilt it to better reflect the full breadth of what we're tending together, and to make it easier for you to find your place in it. This is where we are now, and we're glad to finally have a home that says so clearly.

What hasn't changed is the promise underneath all of it — to tend to life’s thresholds, together. To keep showing up. To keep slowing down as everything around us seems to speed up. To believe that when we meet one another with vulnerability and courage in the midst of loss, there is strength in that meeting.

Here's what's new:

The Grievery Membership — New
Tending grief isn't a one-time event. It's a sustained practice, returned to over time. To honor that, we are moving from single-session sign-ups to a membership model. This is a dedicated, consistent place for those who wish to tend grief alongside familiar faces.

Membership anchors you in rhythm and repetition, with access to all monthly gatherings on fixed dates, plus discounts as you deepen and integrate your practice through workshops and trainings.
